I really loved this exhibit. We had the pleasure of walking through the Hirshhorn with a friend interning at the museum and had the opportunity to spend some time with this exhibit. Addressing two major issues of contemporary art, the artist Douglas Gordon’s work is literally the “elephant in the room” that many visitors don’t want to address and also describes the circus act many artists are asked to go through when being an artist in the spot light. The exhibit engulfs an entire room at the Hirshhorn. Infact, literally, the only place in the room where your not face to face with the elephant is directly facing the room’s one open corner.
